The Role

Cross River Bank is seeking a dedicated and strategic Israel Social Responsibility Associate, who will report to the Chief Philanthropy Officer, Foundation, to carry out our philanthropic initiatives and charitable partnerships in Israel. This role will be instrumental in identifying, vetting, and managing relationships with Israeli charitable organizations that align with Cross River Bank's corporate social responsibility goals and values.

What You’ll Actually Be Doing

Charity Management & Vetting

  • Identify, research, and recommend charitable organizations that align with Cross River Bank's core values and Social Responsibilities goals, pillars, and strategic priorities
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective charity partners, including financial health assessments, mission alignment reviews, and impact evaluations
  • Develop and maintain a database of approved and prospective charitable partners as well as the charity matching program for Israel based employees
  • Maintain regular communication with and report to the US-based manager and Social Responsibility team to ensure strategic alignment, coordination and payments of all Israel-based initiatives

  Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all partner charities in Israel
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with charity leadership and stakeholders
  • Facilitate regular communication and provide updates to internal stakeholders on partnership progress and impact; attend partners’ conferences and external meetings on behalf of the bank as necessary
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of charitable partnerships and recommend adjustments as needed

 Mission & Event Logistics

  • Provide support in the planning, coordination and execution of all logistics for Cross River Bank's missions to Israel
  • Provide support and help coordinate travel arrangements, itineraries, site visits, and meeting schedules for mission participants
  • Coordinate with philanthropic partners to organize meaningful engagement opportunities and site visits
  • Handle all administrative and operational aspects of mission planning and execution

 Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize the impact of Cross River Bank's social responsibility efforts in Israel
  • Prepare regular reports on charitable activities, partnership outcomes, and social impact metrics
  • Maintain and prepare summaries and content for the annual impact report
  • Monitor trends in Israeli philanthropy and social needs to inform strategic decision-making
  • Manage budget allocation and track expenses related to charitable giving and missions

Requirements

What You Bring to the Table 

  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hebrew
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align charitable initiatives with corporate goals and values
  • Strong analytical and research skills for vetting organizations including understanding the Israeli non-profit sector and charitable landscape
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships; generally affable disposition
  • Proven track record in relationship management and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience with project management and event coordination
  • Cultural Competency: Deep understanding of Israeli culture, society, and charitable sector
  • Organization: Superior project management and logistics coordination abilities; self-starter
  • Integrity: High ethical standards and commitment to transparency
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and changing circumstances
